First let us explain that the Operating System you have in your computer (Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS, etc.) has no relation or effect with the Operating System that runs the web server. On your end it will appear the same. The only difference is specific programs that will operate only on a Windows based hosting server platforms. These are usually specialized programs (ASP, ASP.Net, Access/OBDC Dbase) that are used for a specific purpose and 99% of our hosting clients do not need them. If you think you may have need of a special program to run on a certain platform, please contact us and we will advise you where and how it will run.

We always recommend that you select the Linux Hosting plans because the Linux plans have many more features than the Windows Hosting plans.

If you do not need any of these specific Windows features - ASP, ASP.Net, Access/OBDC Dbase, then your best option is go with the Linux Hosting plans.
